Discover Charoen Krung – Bangkok’s Hidden Local Gem
Let me introduce you to Charoen Krung (เจริญกรุง), one of Bangkok’s oldest and most charming neighborhood. Known for being home to the city’s very first road, this area blends local authenticity with a creative, artsy vibe. It’s full of hidden alley with old shop, cozy café, art gallery, and delicious food spot—making it perfect for exploring on foot. Unlike crowded tourist zone, Charoen Krung is much more peaceful, giving you a chance to experience the slower, local side of Bangkok.

First Stop — Start Your Day with a Massage at keb-hom
No better way to begin your trip than with a good massage, right? Start your morning at keb-hom, our small, clean, local massage shop tucked away in a quiet alley. (We’re currently running a Morning Massage promotion too!) The space is simple yet cozy, and our skilled therapist will melt away your travel fatigue. Highly recommend a warm massage in the morning — the ultimate relaxation!

Next Stop — Just 1 Minute Walk to Central: The Original Store
After your massage, take a short walk to Central: The Original Store. This beautifully revamped space combines design shops, exhibitions, a bookstore, and cafés. It's great for a quick stroll and a little browsing.

Lunch — Local Favorite at Michelin-Listed Khamu Charoensaeng
Time to eat! Khamu Charoensaeng, just around the corner, is a beloved spot among local for their stewed pork leg rice. It might look humble from the outside, but trust me, the meat is tender, the sauce is perfectly balanced, and the flavor is authentic. No wonder it made it to the Michelin Guide!
Coffee Break — Sip Quality Coffee at by li-bra-ry
With your appetite satisfied, head over to a coffee roaster by li-bra-ry, a well-known local coffee roastery. The stylish space pairs perfectly with their excellent coffee. I had the iced flat white, which I definitely recommend!
Stroll Around — Explore Warehouse 30 & River City Bangkok
After coffee, take a walk to Warehouse 30 and River City Bangkok. Both spots are full of cool art space, concept shop, and vintage store—perfect for browsing or snapping some photo. If you love art, vintage find, and that creative Bangkok vibe, this area is a must!

Local Ferry Ride to ICONSIAM — Only 6 Baht for River View
Ready for a true Bangkok experience? Hop on a local ferry! From Sri Phraya Pier near River City or CAT Tower Pier behind the General Post Office, you can take a ferry to ICONSIAM for just 6 Baht. Feel the river breeze and enjoy the scenic ride—it’s a hidden gem for both local and traveler.
Dinner — Wrap Up the Day at Sooksiam or Thongsmith Noodle
Arriving at ICONSIAM, treat yourself to dinner at Sooksiam, a vibrant food court offering authentic Thai dishe from all over the country. If you’re a noodle lover, I also highly recommend Thongsmith Noodle, famous for its rich broth and springy rice noodle—the perfect comfort food to end your day.
Speaking as a local, Sooksiam may look touristy, but the food inside is truly authentic, with flavor even Thai people love. The prices? Surprisingly reasonable—not much different from eating outside, but here it’s cleaner, convenient, and you can try many different dishes all in one place. Personally, I prefer this over wandering through crowded flea market. Whenever my foreign friends visit Bangkok, this is my go-to spot—easy, tasty, and satisfying for everyone.
